I don't go to class, and I don't do my work on time, and I don't study... until it's too late.
This has hapenned more than once, I fucked up hardcore last quarter too. I used to play Halo a lot, not this quarter though. I guess that THIS FORUM distracts m the most //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, then I was watching like all 5 seasons of Soprano's so that occupied a lot of my time. I'd just be up late till like 3-4am and then I'd sleep through all of my classes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So, I'm going to drop one of my classes. Study my *** off for the other two. Then I'm going to talk to my academic advisor and have him put me on hold or whatever the technical term is.

So, I'm going to be looking for another job or two. I think it'll be good for me to realize that actually busting my *** and working 50-70 hours a week sucks and realize that I need to truly focus on my education. Plus, I'll at least be earning money instead of wasting it getting shitty grades.

Dang Noah, you sound almost exactly like me. College has been such a reality check, makes high school seem like a joke (which it is, in retrospect). Good luck bro, wish I could take a sabbatical from school and take on such an endeavor as yours.

I was in school when i was 18-20 just because it was a way to get my bills paid and spending money from my parents. I totally fcked off and earned a stunning 1.7 GPA before i finally dropped out (read 'about to get kicked out') and had to get a job. Over the next 5 years or so i worked off and on, and mostly fcked up and got high.

Now ive realized i dont want to go to prison, being strung out sucks and any job i can get with my skillz **** and pay jack shit. So i moved cross country waited a year to get residency and enrolled in school again.

Its amazing how a little time has totally changed my attitude about school. I dont skip anymore, actually pay attention and get good grades. It sucks trying to bring up a shitty GPA, so if you realize your not really interested in school right now, take the fcking break. Its a total waste to go to school for any other reason than you are interested and want to get the degree.
