I do try to be a decent guy, though....
Guess it comes from being the progeny of an army colonel and a teacher. Honesty and manners in our household were not an option.
We learned Yes Sir, No Sir, Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am before we knew how to crawl ~ and OMG! if we got caught in a lie about...well, anything!
Somewhere in that range, yes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifHow many times have u seen it now, Steve? 8, maybe 9....thousand times? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
I don't have a choice - at this point in my life it's an instinctive reaction - regardless of age or position. I'll call a teenager working the register at a convenience store Sir or Ma'am. Can't be helped and my sister is the same way.Im just messin.I asked my mom if she liked being called ma'am, she said no.
So i dont call her that.
And i wont call a police officer sir. I'll call him officer.
