The Brahma is sounding better every day. It has tremendously smoothe sound and I'm ridiculously impressed. The next step is getting some speakers to give me mid and high end sound to compete with my ridiculously nice low-end sound. I'm thinking Alpine Type X Components in the front, and jmac recommended some Massive Audio coaxes for the back, but I haven't heard them, nor do I know where to get them.

Best music to use for a Brahma 15: Outkast (namely the album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik)

As for how a shocker sounds in comparison to a Brahma, I can't say from firsthand experience. I heard shockers are phenomenal SPL drivers, but that the SQ performance is nowhere near that of the SPL.

i have a nokia 5165 and i get a lot of text msgs from friend's and what not...and when im cruising around, i usually keep the phone under the head unit...so when someone either msgs or calls me the hu mutes for a few seconds...the same thing happens when its sitting under my computer screen....the screen flashes a few times....its not a big deal or anything...i actually enjoy the fact that i know when someone is calling when my music is blaring....anyways...anyone know why this is?

Wait, so it makes your HU mute when your phone rings? That's when you set it in some sort of slot under your HU?

thats awsome man i wish i had the money to get a brahma or 2 but just too much for me. do u know around what db's u are getting?

well, it did with my aiwa...i honestly havent tried it with my kenwood...but the same thing happens when someone msgs me when the phone is next to the computer moniter...well...the screen flashes just seconds before i recieve the msg

it has to do with teh phones recieivng of messages and calls from the wireless network..

it just doesnt like it.,.. simple intereference...

most newer h/u's have a cell phone mute option set up on them....they mute when the phone receives a call.....never have had mine do it tho....
