so explain this whole flac thing to me, is it better quality than mp3? less space? whats a good program to rip em?

FLAC files are lossless, so they do not compress the audio signal at all, just silence at the beginning/end of songs for the most part.

The files are about 30MB each as a result. The gain is that the files are essintially replicas of what is on the CD and thus the best quality you're gonna get.

I am using Media Monkey, which is a pretty sweet media player in it's own right, you might want to check it out just for kicks.

well mp3 quality is good enough for me since im not playing it in my car.

better quality (identical to source) but takes up more space.
i like dbpoweramp ... right click -> convert

hard drive already almost full. considering formatting

Docs gave him 2-3 months.....
