The Texas Chainsaw Massacre FTMFW!

TCSM owns all horror series... I'm off to see it now and will provide a review later but here are a couple that I pulled off the net. I haven't been this excited to see a movie in a loooooooong time!

Once again I want to go back to the statement, “the most brutal film ever.” TCMTB is seriously hardcore and f-cking violent. A lot of people are not going to be able to handle this. In HOSTEL much of the terror was implied with cut away editing and great sound effects, Liebesman doesn’t shy away from anything. We see heads brutally bashed in, legs broken, arms broken, teeth knocked out, flesh peeled off, heads blown off- you name it, it’s all in there. Every scene appears to be shown in its entirety, which only makes me wonder what the hell is going on at the MPAA? TEAM AMERICA has an urination scene and gets an NC-17, a guy gets his face peeled off in TCMTB and it gets an “R”? I’ll never quite get it.

But before I end this rant-like review I want to spend a moment giving mad props to Director Jonathan Liebesman. With his career tainted by that studio-ruined piece of crap DARKNESS FALLS, he had a lot to prove in what I’d like to call his “redemption piece.” Brad Fuller and Andrew Form did what they thought was the best for the franchise and took a chance on a guy who has more heart than you can ever imagine. What Liebesman delivers is one of the most terrifying and effective horror films ever made and he deserves a standing ovation (you better give it to him). He directs not only one of the most believable cast performances in a horror film in a long time, but he also brings much creativity to the screen, which is much needed in a story that leaves not much to the surprise (come on, for the most part we all know who lives and dies).

If you thought the CHAINSAW remake was rattling and intense, get ready for these poker players to up the ante- I’m willing to bet you’re going to fold. And if you weren’t a fan of the first, I’m still pretty sure you’re going to enjoy this one- if not, I understand that some people don’t like leaving the theater feeling like total and complete crap. TCMTB honestly is that emotionally intense and whether you love it or hate it I guarantee you’re going to be talking about it for quite sometime.

Saw the film last night, and it took my breath away! Although I wasn't a big fan of the 2003 remake, this film proved to be one of the scariest horror movies I've seen in a long time. The bleached out film looked great, and gave the desired late 1960s feel the director and producers were going for! This uber fan of the original "Texas Chainsaw" was pleasntly pleased, if not even a little surprised how much he liked the film! Get out there and see it...and make sure to check the back seat of your car before proceeding

Horror films are meant to shock, horrify and believe it or not...emotionally bring you down. And thats what TCM:TB does. Plain and simple, people who don't like this movie, are reluctant to admitt that it makes them feel awful or they don't want to experience the same pain and emotions as the characters in the film. Hills Have Eyes and Wolf Creek did this, and forever will be known as true horror films. TCM:TB will be known as a classic in the future, but sadly not now. All because of people who refuse to admitt how this film reduced you to tears, or a gut wrenching feeling.

Ok this is one of the most disturbing movies of all time. ALL TIME.

Is it a good horror movie? Its a great horror movie. One of the best ever made that is if you can handle it, Can you. No complaints about hte story here, very weel made like a puzzle everything comes together

Horror movies nowadays = teh ****.
why? here's the basic outline of any horror movie now

-everythings all happy and normal

-some people get stuck with a sadistic fuck who proceeds to proceeds to physically and mentally torture and mutilate them

-someone gets out alive

-psycho is obviously still alive and swears to get that person / people

guts, gore, blood, mutilation, brains, and some more gore.

Take the shining for example: it scares the hell out of you through suspense and little gore / mutilation and stuff.

The bottom line: 'horror' flicks nowadays have reached a least common denominator... scaring the crap out of people with nasty stuff.

I just got back from seeing it too and agree with you... They relied too much on the gore/blood factor rather than the intensity that the other movies in the series had.

All in all I'd give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. I'll probably end up getting it on DVD though to see the alternate endings and the scenes they had to delete.

Dont waste your time or money watching this movie. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Just watched it earlier tonight with the woman. The movie sucked hardcore. Hell, my gf even said she didnt even get scared though the whole movie. The only time I even jumped a little, was when the cop banged on the car window when they were trying to make a break for it.

I wouldnt even give it a star. 0/5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif booooooooo!!!

no, you're wrong

this is from the new movie, where the 3 are in the back of the squad car and the cop takes them to the house and gets out, but the guy going back to Vietnam tries to get the gun from the dash, but the cop comes out of nowhere and slaps the glass and opens the door.......
