no shit. for some reason i thought you live in like southern ohio. dont know why i thought that.

They were saying on our local news that people coming back from Spring Break in Mexico may be spreading it around the USA and Canada. So far people in 5 states have it, plus people in Canada. They were saying it's more serious than the regular flu, but it has the same symptoms so it'll be hard to know for sure without being checked out by a doctor. One more reason to stay away from Mexico. Makes me wonder just what kind of "contact" someone had with an infected pig down there. I used to work with a Mexican guy, we all thought he was pretty cool til he started bragging about screwing chickens when he lived in Mexico, he didn't last much longer at my work.

I think people in the news industry get bored every once in a while and decide to create hysteria over something trivial. I think they finally got tired of ******* Obama's dick and preaching gloom and doom about the economy.

usually when the white house gets on the news and speaks people listen. they are concerned so why shouldnt we?

hes speaking the truth. if they didnt tell people about it, it would spread into a crazy epidemic. wouldnt you rather know so you didnt die? i understand not being worried to the extent where you wouldnt want to lock yourself up into your house but if you start feeling like you have the flu arent you glad you know to go get checked out?

ok what i dont get, how u supossley going to die from it? rule of thumb when you get flu you drink plenty of fluids..the fever? well if you are 101 plus take a coldd shower and go to the fing hospital..ld could it be the government genocide?

do you go to the hospital everytime you get the flu? this strain can kill you because our bodies dont have anti bodies to fight it. back in days of pilgrims the flu that killed them isnt a big deal to us because our bodies have become immune. there isnt just one kind of flu you know.....

The flu (also known as influenza) is never something you shouldn't take seriously. People just misuse the term 'flu' all the time to describe cold and gastrointestinal symptoms.

How often do you think you get it? Like i said above people misuse the term to describe a range of symptoms that have nothing to do with influenza. The 'flu' is not the cold or a sick stomach. Influenza is a serious respiratory disease that can lead to pneumonia which can kill you.

see now thats taking it a little far. being aware and if someone close to you had it and there was a legitimate chance you could get it then go to the doc and worry. but if you are 1000 miles away from the closest case and you get the flu and you never went to mexico, ur probably fine.

this kid found out he had it because the school nurse heard about the outbreak in mexico and when he said he just got back from there she suggested he go get checked out for it. otherwise his mom would of probably just filled him full of some cold medicine and let him die.....

If you have a decent immune system you will be able to fight this.... if your old or have little one be carful of them.... other than that this IS pretty much just like your typical flu.. just a mutated variant of it.
