I love the amps....But, dude, the original install was FUBAR.
Thank god you're re-doing it.
That power strip was bogus...
Especially on a showvan.
But it has a nice paintjob. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Funny you should mention that!
The van was bought a week before Austin Heatwave in 06' we built the entire van from scratch in 3 days.
We started on a Thursday morning in Fort Worth and had it completed by Saturday night down in Austin, Texas. It was my first USACI event ever, here is video of my first ever run in USCAI:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5424414474613641861&hl=en
I think my first ever score (besides the local shows) was decent @ 159.6db
My 3 day build did good enough that I left that way till last week.
The power strip was for my car computer and lights for evening hours. It ran off a big power inverter, don't know what would be a quick fix for a power strip.
Plus it was not a show van at all!! It was a ugly SPL van not a badass SQ ride.
The batteries were under the amp rack for the long time and the terminals got very built with green corrosion. I will clean them, charge them and test them and toss any that fail my voltage tests. Buy some more to go with the new system. Thinking about dropping down to a 12volt voltage system and go with all new batteries.
No Johnny I won't be at the show I am working on the van every spare minute I have.
