Hate to say it... but the "real" refs weren't much better. This would have made the regular season game between the giants and pack last year a giants win, instead they settled for a FG even after review... Screw the Packers, they could have ran the clock out, its their own fault

Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3, Item 5 of the NFL rulebook regarding a simultaneous catch:

“If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control.”

Since Jennings clearly gained control first, the game should have been over, chalk up a "W" for the Pack. But, the rulebook also states when a simultaneous catch is ruled, it can't be reviewed to determine who made the catch (only to determine if a pass was complete or incomplete), so, once the call was made: done deal.

i.e., Pack gots fukked

But, in the end, this is all on Goodell. He has apparently made this "personal" and is refusing to step-in and show some leadership to get the pro ref's back onto the field with the pro players, and the game is suffering because of it.

If he doesn't pop his head out of his ass and get this shitty mess fixed (and fuck who is right, all this management versus union pissing contest, etc.), then his stint as Commish will likely go down in infamy....

Far from the first time he has shown what a putz he is, regardless, so such may be deserved... just a shame that the fans have to take it up Hershey Ave in the process.

With all of the dumbass trades going on, it is deffinently not the same anymore...But of course, it's America (right?) and I wouldn't be surprised if our "wonderful" president decides to try to pass a law that makes pro's play for free and give that money back to middle class and those with free health care that don't do anything!
