alright, how about this one... is 360wrms @ 2ohm mono more powerful than 500wrms @ 4 ohm stereo???

when i have 2 mono amps hooked up with one sub on each amp the subs get 250wrms a piece @ 4 ohms!!! However, with just one of the amps hooked up and the other one sitting outside the car with a sludge hammer through it, i have both speakers hooked together at a 2 ohm load with 360wrms output and the sound is over twice that of both amps hooked up @ 4 ohms with 140 more rms, so why the **** is 360 wrms 2 ohms over twice as loud as 500wrms at 4 ohms? DO THE OHMS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE?

360W vs 500W. That's all you need to know. Imp doesn't matter at this point.

No, but your ability (or lack there of) to set gains correctly and wire the subs correctly will come in to play.

well, the amp that does 360watts at 2 ohms, would only do like 200watts at 4 ohms...

but thats beside the point, cos 500 is still more than 360, or 200

alright, then if 360w is louder than 500w the only other thing that could be the problem is my HU, it must be that my signal to the amps is cut in half to each amplifier resulting in twice as less bass because everything else is fine.

Give us a more detailed explaination of what you are doing, and what equipment is involved, how all of your wiring is, etc etc.

No, you have not addressed the issues in my post. I would bet my car the issues here is with the installer and not the equipment.
