Nobody wins! Nobody friggin' wins! LOL. At least that's what a McDonald's manager told me once!
Seriously though, if you read the possible odds and stuff you'll see how unlikely it is that anyone will win the bigger prizes. Has nothing to do with regions or dates really either. They put out like very few pieces (those "rare ones" that everyone is always looking for). Probably like 1 for the top prize. Now think about how many cups/fries/hashbrowns/etc. that have the peices don't even ever get distributed during the promotion, before it ends. The "rare piece" could be on any one of those probably tens of thosands people never even get.
Then think of how many people get their food and never bother to check or collect the pieces, throw them out lose them, etc. That one rare piece that lets you complete the set for the top prize? It's long gone.
The official odds never take that into account, they only figure in how many of those pieces they print. The real odds are actually far, far worse, particularly among the bigger prizes.
Now I'm not saying absolutely no one wins anything but for the top prizes I'm pretty sure all things considered, if you consider the real odds, you probably have a better chance of winning a regular (state/federal run) regular lottery. It's not impossible either, technically it is possible to win whatever the biggest prize is, but it's just very improbable if you ask me. I've never even seen it publicised that anyone ever won the grand prize, ever. (Could have happened I just don't remember.)
I just throw all my pieces out, unless ppl ask for them and then I give them to them while I sit back and watch them foolishly collect the pieces. Nobody wins! LOL.
And don't get me wrong I love McDonald's I eat probably far too much McDonald's, LOL. I just don't eat any more or less depending on whether they have their useless Monopoly promotion going on.
As for getting pieces from Russia, LOL, I don't think you can do that--though different countries have the promotion the pieces are not interchageable I don't think... I.e. I couldn't send you a piece from Canada for you to use in the US and vice versa.
