Okay. Do they do anything? Denim does occasionally. I haven't seen steve do anything for a very long time? It wasn't an attack on them, simply an assessment.

I personally think its because they're busy doing other things. And its not to fight at all. I've always considered you a friend. I'm just trying to make my point i suppose. No hard feelings at all Justin.

IMO there should be mods for each sections. 3-4 mods for each section. If there was an active admin, mods wouldn't need to have banning abilities, but since he is never here, you have to risk empowering mods with banning abilities.

I don't think breaking up the mods by subforums is a good idea...I think it's much more effective the way we have it.

I do think that mods should have the ability to unban members they have personally banned...would have saved a ton of headaches with MOT randomly banning the wrong people every other day.

Good Im glad.

Its in one section that its bad. We have asked the admin to ban the IP of the spammer and to change the way you post in that specific section. Obviously there is some sort of search/ bot program they are using that posts in here.

He has not done any nor even acknowledged **** on the subject.

report it and point it out. I check my email every day twice a day, and I look at each and every report a post.

And spam that sits there for a few minutes is not a big deal. It's when everyone from Texas gets banned that the moderation approach needs to be reviewed. The moderation staff can't be held accountable for all spam the instant it appears....they deserve to enjoy this site a bit like all the other members do.

I like Justin but I agree with you.

The bigger problem (to me) is that when stuff like this comes up, we have to wait and hope that Goob can fix the problem before it gets worse...and that's not necessarily great for anyone (inconvenient and inefficient for Goob and the staff).

edit: This should be a selection of the members Goob trusts most to run the site in his absence. Like someone mentioned, if he was on all the time, the moderation staff would be of minimal importance, but because he's not, it's a bit different story.

Here is the story behind this.

I gave an old account password to someone. That person in turn gave the password to Icetee. I talked to Ice and he seems like he would respect the account and not do anything wrong.

I changed my password.

A month or two go by. I change my password once a month.

I forgot that I gave that old password out and forgot that I had used that password on this site.

Ice decided to try to log into my account.

Ice succeeds.

Now, I am at fault for giving my password to the original person so he can check the backroom, but I didnt not expect this person to pass it on...and I sure didnt expect Ice to do what he did.

I know I am partially to blame, but whatever...atleast you now know what REALLY happened instead of hear say.
