In the late 90's, the Yankees didn't have superstars. They had guys like Brosious, O'neal, Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez, Orlando Hernandez, David Cone, David Wells etc. Not exactly superstars.

all those players you just named(with the exception of brosius and orlando hernandez) were amazing players...david wells was at the top of his game then, oneal and bernie williams were all stars.....what more do you want out of them?

well inflation is a ***** lol now that i got the old sports almanac out i gotta add brosius to the superstar list....he did win mvp of the WS in 98, bernie williams won a batting title in 98, paul oneil in 94......sounds like superstars to me...oh and wells and cone had no hitters.....

I still think A-Rod is overrated! Yeah he has had some amazing seasons and he will go in the hall of fame. Still hasn' t done shit in the playoffs. Your best player should come up big in big games and he hasn't. So to me he isn't worth the money. Especially when your team don't advance.

Ah Scott Brosious did a lot more for the Yankees in big games than Alex Rodriguez ever has. So come playoff time, yep Brosious is more a star.

He isn't their best player though. Rodriguez is. Like I said before Jeter is paid to get on base and Rodriguez is paid to push them through to home plate. Simple as that and something he hasn't done.

Rodriguez helped get them there, but did nothing to advance his team. So playoff time Brosious who has helped his team win in his era and Rodriguez who is over paid had made them look like a laughing stock.

God you are dumb. He is one of the best SS in the game and an on base guy. Hits for average, steals bases, has a good on base % and is an awesome club guy. I don't think any buddy in sports is worth millons. That is how the game is though.
