**The MLB Thread**

Steinbrenner has a right to be pissed. Torre made alot of bad moves these 2 games. If he starts Matsui over Giambi at DH for game 3 hes on crack.
How do u figure? They are just not as hungry as the Indians. I don't care how much expierence you have. The hungier team wins and is obvious who is playing better. How is that Torre's fault? He has done nothing wrong. Has the players out there that should be out there. I did here they were thinking of starting Wang on 3 days rest, that would be retarded being we ripped him a new one. You also can use the bug thing all you want, but Cleveland players were playing through it fine. They also only come up once in a great while.

Ohlendorf in game 1 was a mistake. Shouldve pulled Wang out a little earlier for Hughes.

Matsui is just so off stride right now its not even funny. Giambi is much more solid at DH plus Sabathia kills lefties. Even Shelly Duncan was a better option. Plus Matsui doesnt give Rodriguez any protection batting behind him.

Say what you want about the bugs, no excuses but it clearly got to Chamberlain and Joe couldve gone to Rivera for the last 4 outs before the game was tied.

Also IMO the rotation shouldve been Pettitte-Clemens-Wang since Wang has much much better numbers at home.

:edit: Joe also gave Posada the green light to swing @ 3-0 bases loaded. Then let Matsui swing 2-0 rite after even though Sabathia was dancing around the strike zone alot.

I can see what you say about Ohendorf being he is young and only pitched like 11 innings, but was solid for those 11 innings. Still that was stoopid, but the rest I dont see. In game one they started with Doug M at 1st and he had a bat or two and then Shelly Duncan came in and IIRC got a base hit. I may be wrong, but I swore he went in for Doug M at first. Anyway, Matsui has been killing lefties all year long and that is why he was in there. Not sure where you got your info from, but they said it right on the broadcast about how good Matsui was at hitting lefties and had a bunch of HR's. As far as the bugs go, well it happens and Joba I think got more rattled by the fans being in such a big game. Sorry but, I dont see how some nats on your neck is gonna make you throw wild pitches. He just got rattled because he is young. The Posada thing should be up to him anyway. Guy batted almost .340 and was excellent with runners in scoring postition, so why not try it? Also sorry, but Sabathia wasn't dancing around the strike zone, it was the ump behind the plate. Terrible calls and even the strike zone indicator showed how far off he was. There were pitches right over the plate that he was calling balls. Sab had like 7 walks in the game and had only 40 something IIRC all year long. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

When are you New Yorkers going to realize the Yankees are not that good? Last year when they got pwnd by Detroit you gave Detroit no respect, this year they get pwnd by Cleveland and you give Cleveland no respect.

You really don't know baseball? The manager gives the green light to hitters to swing on 3-0.

Better yet, become a Tigers fan. They have plenty of young pitching potential, and are already contenders.

Im a little closer to Tampa //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

lol. I enjoy watching the tigers, i even have a Tiger hat, but i was raised as a Yankee.. and i doubt that will ever change, no matter how many DS,CS, WS they choke in.
