Maybe Ryan Howard wasn't producing. Also they had Jim Thome at 1st base for several years, which probably didn't help Howard much.

anyone knowledgable wanna tell me why you would even dare let ryan howard sit around the minors til hes 27? most people forget hes older then pujols and think cuz its his second season that hes the second coming of hammerin hank or somthin..

chicago has a tough schedule. 2 more at boston, a west coast trip with 3 @ oakland, 3 @ anaheim. got 3 more against detroit, 6 more games against cleveland who is pretty good, and finish the season with 3 @ minnesota. detroit has 2 more against seattle, 4 against blatimore, couple more against texas, then detroit's final 9 games is 6 against kansas city, and 3 against toronto, while the toronto series, and 3 against kansas city are at home.
