**The MLB Thread**

Whats all this S.F. Giants talk i'm hearing. Is it just me or are the San Diego Padres on top of the division and going strong. Our Ace Peavy isn't pitching like he can, but the rest of our staff is picking up the slack. Finally our bats are waking up, so we should have a strong second half. Maybe make a trade for a legit starter and keep on hitting and we'll be sitting high come october. Look for the Pads to look more serious this time around in the playoffs.

yo man....Im rooting for Piazza and Cameron...theyre great guys!!

have you seen what Nady has been doing with us?

I see the Dodgers winning the NL West if their bullpen matures and Gagne can ever get healthy.

IMO, the Padres are the team to beat in the N.L. West. They won the N.L. "worst" last year, and made a bunch of moves during the offseason. The most impactful would have to be Cameron. I liked Nady, but he wasn't going to get any playing time. Cameron is finally hitting, and playing stellar defense. And Nady, before his apendix blew, was on fire. N.Y. Mets are the team to beat in the N.L. East, and the true NY team. Good luck in the N.L. East, and into the playoffs. Hopefully you don't have to play my Pads, I wouldn't want to see abunch of NY Mets fan cry:(

what bs is that? come on now chicago has lost twice since the last rankings and detroit hasn't lost, sweeping st. louis and houston, but chicago still gets to stay at #1? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Whitesox have taken 5 out of 6 from Detroit. Detroit needs to show they can beat Boston, NY, and Chicago.
