**The MLB Thread**

"So when all this BLEEP is about to break, Pujols is “injured” chasing after a pop foul—not sliding for the ball, just on the way there. Convenient that it was a foul ball, so a fake injury wouldn’t cost the team runs or be counted as an error. Anyway, then Albert “strains his oblique,” whatever that is, and declares that he needs to go on the DL for a long time. Other medical sources say this is a 15-30 day thing, and not long term. Nothing shows up on the MRI. All anybody can say is that it’s a shame Pujols won’t break the home run record and get baseball out from under the steroid cloud. Turns out it wouldn’t have anyway"

I dont doubt it...I just wanted to make sure you know where Im coming from...its not something I made up..its not because im a sox fan. I actually like pujols...I have respect for him as a player and a person. He's a good guy, and definitely has the potential to be one of the best power hitters of all time. How many homers does he have right now already...like 22_? hes been int he league for 5 years...hes only 26....Aside from Frank thomas (with 46_?)...he has already pretty much tied the 2nd all time home run hitter for the sox. And he's in his prime now.

but I did hear from a lot more solid sources that the MRI didnt show anything.

so he's been on pace to hit 80+ home runs every year huh.... and hes been the hottest hitter in baseball at the beginning of every year? and your tellin me I have no room to talk????

1 - 10 of about 247,000 for pujols on steroids

obviously its a highly discussed issue...AND SOME OF THEM ACCUSE HIM OF IT. DO I have any proof..NO..I just heard it on a sports show man, hahah, calm down...thats why I brought it up..and there is good reason to...the dude is...well was hittin the crap outta the ball...Look what happened to Sosa..look what happened to McGwire (sp?) people start crushing the ball, and speculations happened...I never said he was on them, I just said that there was a meeting the day he got hurt, to discuss if a few players were using sterroids..and if you saw the vids of how he got hurt....he was jogging!..thats it...so i have every reason to Speculate....nottttt accuse. ok?
Again, just because someone starts out hot doesn NOT mean they are going to end up with the stats that they are on pace to hit. He has every right to start off hot does he not.?? And I could give 2 shits about a sports writer or internet fan polls that feature biased fans. Fans vote with their hearts and not with their heads.

BTW, it wasn't the fact that you brought up the speculations that some thought he was juicing. It was HOW you brought it up with your "cough, cough" which is basically saying that you believe he in fact, IS doing them when you IN FACT have NO proof.

I think the Detroit Tigers pitching staff is all on steroids. Look at the drastic improvements they've made

j/k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Just mentioned it cuz I see icetee in the room

Did anyone see that sad story on sportscenter last night and this morning about that kid and his brother that had to shoot there dad? Man that was sad....loosing your mom and dad on the same day and having to pull hte trigger on your dad before he shoots you.

been hearing the rumor of zumya for smoltz. i hope detroit doesn't do it. it'll be doyle alexander all over again. it's nice to thing about playoffs now, but no sense in trading a great young pitcher like zumya. the tigers do have omar infante they can use as trade bait

yankees better be scared. good chance the wild card is gonna be in the central this year
I have to say that would be nice, not even having win the division and get into the playoffs. Unfortunately that would take alot of drama out of the division games between the Sox and the Tigers down the stretch. Games like that don't seem to have the same luster when the loser still makes the playoffs.

i was 2 years old the last time the tigers made the playoffs so i don't care how they get in, i just want them to make it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

'87 was a long time ago wasn't it. Yeah, I want them in the playoffs too but I don't see them winning it all but you have to admit the future looks bright for the Tigers at this point.
