**The MLB Thread**

Cleveland has a history of suckage, wheras Detroit only has the Lions, so I'll take my history of winning vs. your once in awhile we'll get close to a championship.
Yes your 1 championship in 89 or 88 when you were what 5?

Only thing you have had is basketball.

We don't have a hockey team so can't compare. Then again I hate hockey, so who cares.

6 championships since I've been alive, nearly missed a 7th, and it would be 8 if you include the shock, but Cleveland has how many championships in the past 2 decades now?

If you're going to compare Guillen's numbers to Jeters, take his career stats, not the 4 seasons he's spent in Detroit...
I had made mention of that a year ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

The point is mute now since they don't play the same position.

Also Jeter could play better 1st base than Gullien. Too bad we will never know being Detriot knows he sucks in the field. Should just make him a DH.
Guillen has actually looked pretty good at 1B. Guillen's problem is he doesn't have the range to play SS, but has plenty or range and agility to play 1B. You have no room to talk about bad defensive SS when you have Johnny Peralta //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Tex>Guillen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
That was the problem when they signed Guillen last season. As a SS his production was great and worth 12 million per as a SS, but as a 1B is his production worth 12 million per? If you sign A-rod then it's a wash, but if Guillen can continue to hit over 300, slug over 500 and have an OPS near 900, that would be good production from a 1B.

If the Indians don't take it, I hope Colorado does. Their line up is impressive. I like Matt Holliday as well.
Bigbang seems to always go against a team that I like in the playoffs...and my team always manages to win //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That's the whole point, why is A-rod taking the heat and not Jeter? What did Jeter do in the playoffs this year? What did he do against Detroit last year?
how much does Arod make and how much does Jeter make?

Arod was brought to NY to win!!

Jeter has always been clutch in key situations...Arod has been the opposite (as a Yankee)

Without A-rod New York isn't even in the playoffs.
you cant assume //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you never know how things couldve worked out if Arod wasnt there

its like assuming that the Tigers wouldve beaten the Mets last year in the WS
