**The MLB Thread**

wow just wow. ordonez was coming off major knee surgery and there was question if he would ever really play again. look at his numbers in chicago. he was one of the most underrated, under appreciated hitters. if he was fully healthy in free agency, know way hell detroit would've been able to sign him. the yankees who were always looking for corner outfielders, would've snatched him up. pudge was also coming of serious back injuries. both these players couldn't get signed anywhere else, so they ended up in detroit.
Wow ice I just dont even know what to say about that. A huge contract for pudge and Ordonez didnt have anything to do with it. Not to mention Detriot had the money to pick them up. LOL at no one else wanting them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

my ****ing god i cannot stand your idiocy anymore. magglio had major knee surgery and his career was in doubt. the yankees for one, would easily offer more then 5 years 75 million for magglio if he was healthy. detroit had recently lost 119 games in a season, so why the **** would pudge sign with that team, right after a 119 loss season? no one else would take a risk on pudge. detroit did and he has proven healthy. you don't know what the **** you are talking about. this is ridiculous when i have to explain shit like this. don't you watch sportscenter? baseball tonight?

it's relevance was that detroit has a history of signing injured players

Yes, yes I do watch them. What is your point and I havent heard anything that relatates about there injury's or what team wants them in a long time emo! I just stating that Ordonez is a good player and there were a few teams that wanted him before he came to Detriot. Hell Cleveland tried to sign him. Who wouldnt want pudge? He is one of the most consistant catchers around. Yeah he got hurt, but he got over it and is still playing amazing. I remember a bunch of teams wanting him, thing was there huge contracts. I LOVE debating/arguing with you Ice, your so comical and I get goose bumps. Thanks for the good times!

nobody wanted magglio. he still isn't the same player he was in chicago. nobody wanted to give him big money with his knee injury. pudge has a history of back injuries and being a catcher and getting older, teams shyed away

LOL, That is all!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
dude look at his numbers this year compared to his days in chicago. he's batting like 295, in chicago he was about a 310 hitter, he only has 18 homeruns, wheras he averaged 30 plus a season in chicago, he's got 81 rbi's on pace for around 110, wheras chicago he averaged around 120. magglio was a great hitter in chicago and one of my favorite players cause he was so under-appreciated

AH, I agree about that. What does that have to do with who wanted him when Chicago let him go? I know Cleveland was interested in him. He is still young and has some good years left in him. Just because he had major Knee surgey dosent mean a team wouldnt want him and give him a big contract. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Sometimes your logic Baffles me really. Your stats and the stuff you type is really a comic relief for me. I really do appreicate it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

omg omg i don't know what to say. are you really this stupid? there was questions on wether he would be able to play baseball at his level ever again. this could've easily ended up another ken griffey jr. situation. you are on my ignore list. when i see idiocy i have to reply, but if i can't see it, then i won't have to reply. you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. obviously you don't follow baseball.

You turned into a compelte douche rocket, but yeah for everyone else to rely the messege to captain A hole, then tell him that Ken Griffery Jr is still playing baseball as well. Same as Maggilo. Personally I think you dont know shit about baseball and will argue to just argue, just like you do with phat and eveyone else. Sounds to me you got your panties in a bunch and didnt drink enough water or something. So whatever, looks like I win! Still hope Detriot does well even though the are losing ground. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Probably because I talk more sense than you do.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Anyway that link shows his huge contract. I know he had a big contract with Detriot. What is your point there. There were still other teams offering him big money, just not as much as Detriot because they had one of the lowest team caps in baseball then. So they signed some big name guys like Ordonez and Pudge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

the steelers paid the refs more then the seahawks
We will always agree when it comes to the Tigers, but when you say things like that about the Steelers I say "********* yourself with an an iron stick bitch". And I mean that.

As far as the Tigers are concerned: I just got home from the game tonight and it was an absolute PLEASURE to see the Tigers STOMP the White Sox. It was especially nice to fuck with the few White Sox fans that were there.

Seeing the Tigers hit Contreras was priceless. Especially Monroe going deep on his ***.

Verlander pitched 7 innings while giving up 1 run on 5 hits.

there is no cap in baseball. no team was even coming close to 10 million a season let alone 15 million a season. a healthy magglio ordonez is definately worth 15 million a season and would've got signed for that by a contender
