sucks man. i want to see the giants win!

Unfortunately for all you Giants fans this season will be overshadowed by none other than Barry Bonds. Riding home this morning all they could talk about on Mike and Mike was Barry being investigated for purgery. Even if he doesn't get nailed to the wall it will still be one HUGE media circus all year long for them. And unfortunately that will be too much of a distraction to overcome.

yea since being a giants fan, ever since bonds broke the record there have been talks of his use since 2002. so us giants fans are used to it. bonds has been dealing w/ the media circus and its nothing new really. i personally think he's done steroids but the problem here is that there is no concrete evidence that shows his use. so really, they probably can't get him for anything.

as for a "distraction," bonds honestly is one of the focused athletes in all of sports and when he steps in that batter's box, nothing else matters but the pitcher and him. i mean when his mentor and father died in 2003, bonds took a layoff of 10 days. the first game he came back against the arizona diamondbacks facing randy johnson, in his first at bat he hit a 450 ft homerun. if thats not focused, under his circumstances, i dont know what is. the giants will be fine this season.

Something funny i read in the San Jose Mercury News today written by Bud Geracie a columnist in the san jose mercury news who has a column every saturday and basically just makes jokes within the sports world:

"From the Reader Reed: The New York Mets are 8-1, and Bud Selig has promised a full and thorough investigaiton."

PURGERY is a crime punishable by prison time. That is what he's under investigation for. If they find anything proving he lied, which I'm sure they will, he will do some time.

but like i said, they probably won't find anything on bonds, i'm pretty sure of that. and like you said if he's convicted he aint serving jail time.

but i did at the end and mentioned it as well that the giants have been going through this "media circus" since 2002. nothing new and it won't distract the giants at all. the giants team is made up of veterans, not rookies. as i said, the giants will be fine and having the "media circus" around them won't affect them at all.
