Today I went and listned to some Alpine Type-R 12's....they were in a sealed box...sounded good.

Ive heard plenty of kickers....they sound good.

FI SSD has many good reviews....

I want 2 15inch subs....the box wont take up much space...so i like the bass tight...so ima go sealed...unless i get a overwelming response to port them...

Its between these three subs...

They all can handle similar amounts RMS...

I jus wanna bang hard and sound pretty good...

All of these subs are in my price range...

I like the alpines...they thump hard...

I like the kickers...I have two old 10 inch (8ohm) comps

I like Fi SSD...nothing but good reviews..

I wanna be different...thats why i threw the SSD's up there..an they look like the go pretty hard...

im in about the same situation as you..except i want a 15 l7 or a ssd 15 or possibly the super common type r.. Try the ssd and let everyone on here know how it is. or see if you can listen to them all somewhere and compare

The shop i went to said they could build me a box for 140...is that too high

ssd's then just build a box. if you want calculations use the RE Enclosure calculator. It tells you all you need to know plus give you a cut sheet. Theres plenty or people here who can help teach you to build one too.

Yeah man, that is too much for a prefab. It's real easy to build a standard sealed box.

And go with the SSDs
