I totally agree. You should only take 1g-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight. Otherwise, you are taking too much, and it won't translate to faster muscle growth. A bodybuilding forum (like http://forum.bodybuilding.com) would be much better to talk about this. While lifting 150% of your body weight in grams of protein is ideal. But 450 grams is very unhealthy...
