Hello gang! I am looking to sell the infamous 'Nutz grill, which is currently listed on Egay. I would like to offer it to fellow car audio bretheren foremost, as you guys will appreciate it much much more than the avg Joe.

Please check the following out>>>

It began life as a challenge to build a custom BBQ grill with some kind of A/V system in it. We started with a standard twin-burner Char-Broil l-p grille and created a box steel sub-frame with heavy-duty tool box casters on it so this guy rolls around easily.

Next, we relocated the L-P tank to make room for the down-firing subwoofer enclosure. The subwoofer enclosure hold two Arc Audio 10D4 10" subs in a slot-ported configuration. They reside in the right "nut" while the LP tank fits snuggly in the left. here's a link to the subbwoofers http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/subwoofers/arc_10d4.htm .

Next, we built a complete fiberglass mold onto the grill frame in the shape of the "sack" to cover the base. THis is hand-laid fiberglass finished in basecoat/clearcoat automotive silver metallic. The back side of the sack is a removable access panel wrapped in carbon-fiber style black vinyl. Protruding from this cover panel is a modified Sony PS2 which serves dual duties as both the on-board gaming system AND the DVD video source. The PS2 has been modified to work on 12V DC rather than 110AC current, and operates simply like a piece of car audio gear now. Above the PS2 is the amplifier which powers the entire 6-speaker sound system....the Arc Audio KAR 600.4. Here is the link for the info on the amplifier http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/amplifiers/kar_6004.htm . This amp puts 300wrms to the mono subwoofer channel, and puts 75wrms to each of FOUR component speakers...total output 600wRMS. Make no mistake about it...this thing plays LOUDLY and has been "track-tested" on numerous ocassions and is 100% fully-functional! After very long periods of demo-ing at extremely loud volume levels, it needs a rest just like any amp would due to heat. But this is in extreme circumstances of maximum volume for long periods of time.

The Headphones are molded onto the top of the sack and serve dual-purpose as component speaker enclosures and LCD monitor mounts. The headphones are basecoat/clearcoat finished in black with brushed aluminum insets on the sides. They house two pairs of speakers and two LCD monitors. The front-firing speakers are Arc Audio KAR 5022 5.25" 2-way coaxials...here's the link http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/speakers/kar_5022.htm . Accompanying these are a pair of side-firing Arc Audio KAR 6932 6X9" 3-way tri-axials....seen here http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/speakers/kar_6932.htm . Each headphone houses one 6.5 and one 6X9 along with one 7" wide-screen LCD monitor. The monitors are Accele LCDP7W screens molded into the front of each headphone. Here's the link http://www.accele.com/accele2/Housed_LCDs_2.htm . These guys play the video coming from the Sony Playstation 2.

Extending over from one headphone to the other is the "arc" making the final shape of the headphone assembly. At the very top of this molded piece, which is finished in automotive-grade basecoat/clearcoat like the rest of this thing, is the Pioneer AM/FM/CD player featuring pre-set and user-settable EQ and has the required Aux in adapter to play the audio from the PS2. CD, .WAV, MP3, WMA, whatever you put in this thing it will play it!!!

So, what powers this thing you ask? Well, all of the components are 12V car audio components, right? This grill runs via an onboard BatCap800 competition car audio battery chosen for it's small footprint, high current capacity, and rechargeability. http://www.batcap.net/800.html this is the link for the on-board battery. When fully charged, it will power this entire audio and video system for approx 45 minutes at VERY loud volume levels !!!! YES, you can literally push this thing down the street JAMMING your favorite tunes or playing a PS2 game all while cooking a meal !!!!!

But wait, how does the BatCap battery get charged up? Well, we thought of that too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Nestled between the PS2 and the L-P tank is a AC to DC 14V "RV-style" docking power supply rated at 80Amps!!! Thats a competition-grade charger capable of charging multiple BatCaps very quickly, yet safe enough to simply plug-in and leave it plugged in b/c it will NOT overcharge the system! Yes, you can plug this grille's extension cord directly into the wall outlet and use it that way too.....and it automatically charges the battery! GENIUS! I couldnt fing a link to the actual 80A power supply in the grill, but you can see it in the pic, it's a Select Products 80A model, similar/identical to these http://www.cascadeaudio.com/prod/powersupp.html . I couldnt find them on their site, you are welcome to look here http://www.selectproducts.com/ .

So, there it is. I have detailed photos of the construction of this entire project, which took 2 months to build from scratch. The entire mold was built from a combination of wood, fiberglass, bondo, expanding foam, etc. We specialize in custom "one-of-a-kind" fiberglass audio creations, and this is no exception. I have between $9 and $10K invested in the products, materials, and labor costs of this masterpiece. Due to the size and weight, and also the need for one-on-one instruction on how to use, access, and service the parts of this guy, I want pick-up only----no shipping! I am willing to deliver anywhere in the SE U.S if you pay the fuel costs. Delivery is negotiable, and I am open to meeting half-way or making alternate arrangements with the winning bidder to get this thing to you. Weight is approx 350 lbs. Yes it rolls, but still can be a handful if you are not shown proper handling techniques.

Lastly, the condition>>> Condition is USED, it shines up just like a show car and we always kept it waxed and polished when at shows or on display. Right now it is in storage for the past few months, but will be detailed at time of pickup. As with anything used, there are a few small nicks and scratches here and there, but nothing major. Everything works flawlessly, and believe it or not, the gas tank is full but never been used! Thats right, I have never cooked anything on it!!! We left the LP tank turned completely to the "off" position for safety reasons while transporting this thing. It will, however, fire right up when turned on. This grill has been all over the US with us, to the NE, SE, even Cali and Las Vegas, featured in the International CES Consumer Electronics Show two years in a row!!! I think this was the MOST photographed piece of equipment at the 2006 CES show!!! It certainly was one of the loudest display pieces on the entire show floor. I turned down dozens of offers at that show to purchase this thing, but life isnt always predictable, so regretfully, here it is for sale.

My BIN price will reflect the bargain price for this baby given the amount of time and money invested into it as a one-of-a-kind, but also taking into account the fact that it IS used, and does show a few very mild signs of wear thus preventing me from saying it is "new". I will include all construction photos of the various stages of the build on CD. And yes, the PS2 comes with a controller!!!

Please feel free to send me questions, and I have several more pics of this grill. The buyer will be required to pay a deposit of $500 within 5 days of auction's end via Paypal or certified funds, with balance due at time of pickup or delivery. Good luck!

ADDENDUM>>> I WILL ship this, but the terms of shipping are subject to truck freight rates, etc. It is too large for a standard wooden pallet, therefore it will need to go in a crate. Another thing to consider is no one will transport with LP gas, so *if* you need it shipped, you will need to purchase your own standard propane tank. If the winning bidder needs it shipped, i will work out the details somehow and get shipping quotes from local OTR freight merchants (Roadway, etc). Buyer will pay actual freight charges, nothing more.

Feel free to send me questions for more info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Have a good day! Steve>"""""""

Thats the copied and pasted info from the auction. I would like to get around $4k for it if the buyer is a member of the car audio forums, and I will end the auction early as ****. Delivery is something I will have to work out with the buyer. If you are interested, please email me. For pics, go here

Thanks!
