Well, i'm that much closer to the return of the bass. Today i ordered three of the most important componants of my system. The first will be my 4 channel amp for the front stage= Soundstream XTA480.4. The second order is the sub amp= Soundstream PCA2000d. And the third part i ordered is a shyt load of Dynamat. I will be ripping out my entire interior and laying down the Dynamat, then one of my good friends manages a local truck accesory store and he is going to personally rhino line the whole floor and roof for me. Then after it drys, comes all the wiring that i bought from welding supply, 2/0 weld cable. Now the only things left to buy are the new alternator, second optima, comp set and the q form kicks. **** i can't wait.

Sounds like it is gonna be a badass setup. I used to have an 85 cutty with over 5g's in it. I never dynomated it and it didnt rattle much besides the rear window I blew out on 3 occasions. I had my rear deck as my port and the box was built inside my trunk. Let me know if you want to see some pics and you might get an idea or 2. Good luck and keep the pics acoming. Peace!

There was my old setup with the cheaper audiopipes in there. It actully sounded bad *** in there. I pulled off a 149.5 on the tl with that. I was happy, but was a temp setup. That box actully was redone a little and housed 4 of the 9500's. I was sponsered by a local shop and they wanted me to do all MTX for the most part. I ended up doing 153.4 on the tl with those subs. I dont have pics of them in there due to my car being stolen before I had a chance. I didnt have them in there long. I wish I never put those rims on it. Otherwise I still might have that car. so the SQ of a low end 7871 is comparable to the sq os a 9835 or 7998???

edit: or maybe you're too careless about SQ?
