Man. . . Finished the suburban at 1:37 am Saturday morning and left for Austin. Got there about 5:00 am. Slept 3 hours and left for the show. . .
Bad day. Headunit could not handle the SPL, we have one bad amp (gets extreme hot within minutes of being turned on), and we found a bad y-splitter when we were packing up to leave for home (we new there were a couple of times that it seemed like one sub was dropping volume, and it turned out one pair of strapped amps was losing input).
We pulled a 155.8 @ 48 Hz. Not bad for our first show and the fact that the first time we gave it full tilt was when we were being judged. A lot of people stopped for a look, and it was good for a large crowd while we were in the lane. Overall a disappointment for me. Got some work to do. I am pretty sure my port tuning is off, but it is going to be a couple of weeks before I can worry about it.
On a good note, this is one heck of a daily driver. It is just as loud on music as it is on the mic.
