Actually, i don't think the 10s or 12s are out yet. Plus, we mention the RE8's alot because people are looking for either very small enclosure subs, or ones they can put in consoles/under seats/etc.

Care to divulge a little more? How big was the box? How much power? Ported?

I don't remember and specifics (it was quite a while ago) but the box was as big as I could fit behind the seat in a '92 f150. 3 seperate chambers (2 subs in each) and they were ported tuned to 35hz. for power I was running 2 old skool punch 200 dsm's

Hmm, well, i was gonna go with the biggest box i can(maybe 2 cubes total) they'll all share the chamber, and will be running off my bx1500d. I think it can be wired down to almost 1 ohm, so that means 1200-1400 watts split between them.

Yeah, i think that is my only problem. So i'm thinking 4 of them, in ~2 cubes ported.

yeah i think that might be better and four still get real loud, i have four in a 3.32 cube box after all displacments tuned to like 33hz or somethin and it pounds! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

mine might be jus a bit too big though but i dunno it works great, oh and they still work great in sealed too i built a .45 cube sealed box and put one in and sounded great and still got kinda loud for one 8" in a small sealed box.

Yeah, seems like a good idea. I probably won't do this for a while, since i've only had this SE for like a month, haha. Just giving thought to it because i want louder, and porting this sucker is proving to be a giant pain in the a*s.

Why is porting your box so difficult?Is it because you are limited on space?
