I just picked up a set of what were thought to be rainbow SLC 265's. The only question I have is that the mid-woofer says SLC 165 on the back not SLC 265. Is the 165 used in the 265 combo? little confused/worried.

do yall think the SLC'c can handle ~150w of clean power. I have a nine.4 bridged, not the best amp for sound quality, but decent.

I don't know. I have mine run off a Sundown SAX100.2.

SLC165 is the driver. CAL2045 is the tweeter. As a set they make SLC265.

in the classifieds. They were open, but never given power, everything still pachaged up well.

Just like everyone said, the 265 just means they are a package. 150watts on them will be fine. Just dial in your gain properly.

Well, I got them installed last night and they sound really different than my CDT CL-62's. The clarity of these speakers (minus the hissing I have) in incredible. I moved the tweets from firing off the windshield to firing accross the dash, mounted them on the A-piller. The mid-bass is decent, more than my CDT's, but I still need to do some tuning here and there. My front stage seemed to improve a little. There is more left-to-right and it has risen a good 8 inches to a foot. These speakers are more in-your-face than my previous CDT's, which were pretty laid back. So far I really like them, but only time will tell.

On a side note, is there a good way to tell my crossover is set to 80hz? I had my amp set at 80hz going by the marks on the dials, but it seemed to let alot of low notes reach the components, so I don't know if I trust it or not. Would a test tone work?

i see you have a 99 gc, got any pics of your install? i got a 2000, and im looking for some ideas.
