Tell me how shady this really is...

Yea I dont understand jumping to the conclusion that its stolen because its a really good price. Sometimes unforseen things happen that force people to sell stuff for cheap. Maybe you was lucky enough to find a great deal but assuming its stolen or its shady is not the thing to do.

i was planning on having my dad around, hes one of those guys who knows everything about cars and has every tool ever
same with my dad. but then i took a couple automotive classes myself so i know alot too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Save yourself a headache, those cars are pieces of shit. My friend has one and everything but the engine breaks. The 3.8 is a good engine tho.
I have a 97 which is just the model before those and nothing bad has happened.

KBB: for car in OP

Good

Fair

$7,420

The seller likely was seeing what a dealer would give and then after hearing the bad news, he decided to sell it at a bargain price to a private party as he would get more that way than from a dealer. Just make sure he has the title or will go with you to where the title is being held, where you can see the payoff is handled and you get the title in hand.

Metro areas are going to have bargain prices when someone is serious about selling their car. There's WAAAAY too much competition to screw around by pricing the car high. Dealers and private parties face an uphill struggle in a crowded market. Cash in and good luck!
