F college. I've got a BS degree (I mean a Bachelors of Science, not bullstuff...) and I found that having big strong arms and an ability to drive big trucks is making me more money and I'm much happier. I could have done that with just my GED.

I have thought about getting a job like that to make ends meet a few times. But, I think of how I feel when a telemarketer calls me, and I just don't think I could do that. Sometimes, I am downright rude to them, and I would go off on someone if they were like that to me over the phone!

I HATE telemarketing for any purpose and think it should be illegal to bother people unsolicited in their homes.

Political candidates - guess what? You just LOST my vote for inconveniencing me and for insulting my intelligence by calling me with a recorded message. I don't even warrant a real person speaking to me. Apparently you think I'm enough of a ****tard to fall for your canned, recorded bullshit insincerity and just give you my vote because you got my phone number off a telemarketing call list. ****ing morons...

Banks - not interested in your crap life insurance, extra features, travel plans, blah blah blah... BoA harrasses me at least twice a week since I opened an account with them.

Collection agency - that person isn't me, I don't know them, never met them, gtfo, diaf

I could go on and on and on.... the worst is the ****ing recordings -

"This is a collection agency trying to collect a debt. The following msg is for . If this is not , please hang up and disregard this call (so we can call back 50 times over the next 7 days at all hours of the day and night). Please call us back at 1(800)TRU-FEGS with the reference number so I now have to take MY time and make a call to find out for sure

1. It isn't some old shit, made-up shit or incorrect shit on MY credit record

and

2. Force them to take my phone number off the record they're using. To do this I have to threaten them with legal action, make a note of the time and date of the call, the company and person I'm notifying, and alert them to the federal civil penalties (fines) involved if they do call me again after being informed not to.

Oh yeah, and now I've started getting calls for my dead-beat ****ing neighbors.... yeah. That one sends me into the stratosphere.

me - "So-and-so doesn't live here, I don't know who that is."

them - "Well, don't you live at 6969 Hot Dog Way?"

me - "Yes."

them - "Well, so-and-so lives at 6965 Hot Dog Way, and we're trying to reach him."

me - "Good for you, pay someone to go to his house and leave me the **** out of it!"

How is it that this shit isn't illegal in this day and age? ****IT!

telemarketers where I'm from are mostly kids just out of high school or college students... and sometimes people just taking the job until something better comes up because it's easy to get. I have a hard time being rude to them but **** they're annoying.

Can't hate them or tell them to get real jobs or education really because it's a pretty good opportunity/pay for the circumstances that they're in. I did it while I was in high school and my 1st 2 months in college and it did the job as far as paying bills, rent and so on... I enjoyed hearing dumb idiots being rude to me... Like do they think I care if they call me names? Just be rude and hang up... be creative and rude at the same time and it will really make my day... Always nice to get a laugh at a boring job like that.

Someone gave my cell number to a gym in cincinnati... that's the only telemarketing I've dealt with...

They've called 4 or 5 times over the last two months.... Luckily they only got a hold of me the first time....

I'm really not a fan....

time for a new job......last night i made $315 for 6 hours of work being a bar back at a nightclub in town...anyone could do it...if you can carry a 70 lb bucket of ice you can do it...i also get paid like $6.50 an hour so for the holiday ill make around 1200.

My soon to be wifes cousins friends, mother in laws cousins brothers sisters aunt has an uncle that does it. I think he made pretty good money, but has been doing it since the slave days where he had the can on the wire.

just started working as a telemarketer like 2 days ago.
my friend told me it was an easy job and got payd well. ($9 an hour)

i have to basically call people's houses and ask them if they want to be part of a survey. well out of a ~100 calls you'll get probably 2 people that want to collaborate.

what do you guys think about this whole situation. comment anything you'll like
