Sorry but I don't believe you. What were you running the rlp in fee air? Your setup must not have been optimized for the rlp.

Definitely port the type-r, they hate being sealed.

Kinda like the SX. Teh sux0r sealed, but port em and it's a whole different story.

Must be different in every car because my 2 type r's slam harder in my sealed box than my 4 audiopipe 1200rms subs in a custom ported box. They might not go as low as my pipes did but I had more of those in there. I think your box is too small for those at 1 cubic ft. They should at least get 1.75 cubic ft. sealed and you will be happier. That or port it. I like sealed myself because I listen to alot of rock.

1cubic foot sounds pretty small. Bigger box? what size is your sub. You said it's only as good as your blown 15. Does that mean it's a 15inch type r or what? If it's a 12 then why are you complaining? Port the F*cker and let her blow

uhhh.....teh hyp-r suxor. in my back seat. sealed 1 cubic foot enclosure. 9.1 at 2 ohms. tis suxor. bigger sealed box? ported? does it make THAT huge of a difference. cuz my blown rl-p 15 hit as hard as this thing.

sealed 15, sealed 12... the 15 *should* be louder due to the gigantic cone area difference... not to mention the box is entirely too small if you want to run em sealed.

And yes... A ported box makes a GIGANTIC difference.... going from your dinky sealed box to a good ported box would be worth about 8-10db...

the 15 is BLOWN and the 12 is new...the 12 SHOULD be louder. but anyways. the box is coming, just gotta get it glassed and all that.

lol when i say blown...i mean BLOOOOWWWWNNNNNN tinsel lead broke in half, the terminal s came OFF the basket. it was rediculous. but i blame the shop who put it in. as they only put 4 screws instead of the ~10 that should have held the sub in.
