TechForce's Frankenstein - 2 18's & 2 15's

Some of you may already know about our company truck, Frankenstein. We named it Frankenstein because we took what we had laying around, which was 2 AQ 15's and 2 FI 18's and threw them in for some music. We partitioned off the 15's and the 18's and tuned them to different frequencies so they would not cancel each other out and used small ports (that I am famous for) and what we ended up with was something that was decently loud, not the loudest, but can play pretty much any frequency from 10hz to 80hz pretty decently.

2 AQ (AudioQue) HDC3 15's

2 AudioQ AQ2200D's

1 AudioQ AQ3500D

PAC Line Driver

1 MB Quart 4.60

2 DC Power 400 Amp Alternators

2 Shuriken SK-BT100 Batteries

A Crapload of 0 Gauge Wire!

150.2 db Burp at the headrest

151.4 db Burp at the kickpanel

147.8 db at the headrest on music average

i know you guys werent going strictly SPL on this build... but are you happy with that 150 burp, or are you going to do more tuning?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the point of the build was to have a large frequency response at a loud volume across the board.

Well, that 50 burp was at 30hz so I am happy with it... plus it is very hard to get high numbers at the headrest...

The tuning is gonna stay the same, this was built more or less to accommodate mixing sub sizes so the 15s and 18s are tuned differently.. the 18's are tuned to 28 and the 15's are tuned to 32...

Anyone who knows me knows I like to use small ports to get a wider frequency range so none of my systems are really loud on the meter...

Well... I stand corrected.... Charlie reminded me that it was only 147.? at 30.. it was 50 at 38hz... sorry...
