...a "waveguide"...??? bwahahaaa. ok. since a 30 hz wave is almost 37 feet long, and 1/4 of that is around 9 feet, i would love to hear about how someone used that in a box for a vehicle in a car....
Would fit quite easily in mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

please...ask wayne harris who the first person he ever saw do 150's with 2 regular 10s, 8 years earlier than you did with 2 12s.... i dont have anything to prove anymore, i did it LEGAL in dbdrag before you were out of jr high school. im just trying to help people understand they can build their own boxes (which may be why your reply was so hostile).

also, as far as bracing is concerned... youre full of shit. it may not be a common brace, but the enclosure is structurally braced, either by vent, double walls or baffles, or something. a screw into 2 adjacent sides is a brace, strictly speaking.

just an FYI, I have read up on this toaster character...I wouldnt fcuk with his knowledge level...he knows his shit...he had a box phenom WAAAAYYYY before the TCAB box.

My box had no bracing in it? I've never used bracing inside a box. IMO all it does it cause turbulence. If i'd do any kind of bracing it would only be on the outside in terms of doubling up sides, using 2x4's, etc.

my clear lack of experince?? u the 1 sayin the box in the suv should be 12-18in from the rear, i kno u do that becuz u use ya"amps" there and wha not, but not everyone buddy. y waste space? i kno i wouldnt reply if someone asked idmax or a matrix, i'd say IDMAX:crazy: I mean cmon now, juss cuz i say hey try this sub, wha is wrong wit that?? y spend a arm and a leg on a RE sub when u can spend 80bux and get a sub thats way better and doesnt use the same magnet on the same subs in its line. there is no rule say i cant voice my opinion and save someone the headache and money. u dont have 2 listen, u really dont, thats y u have your own mind so u can, make the decision yourself. i kno i may have caused a "bandwagon" but so wha, like i keep sayin RE did it when they came out, so did SS and IA. everyone was sayin get RE, GET RE, now i say"hey try an type r" and i get ****faces like squeaky that has sumthin stupid 2 say.
is it easier to talk in your own language or can you type in english?

Do I give a rats *** what people were doing 8 years ago? The meters were completely different, and 150 wasn't that hard.

I'd venture to say everyone who won 10 years ago would *not* win in today's competition field...

I know how to build boxes, I have proof of that. Apparantly real world results and world championships mean nothing.

I believe I know what was in my box. It was one layer of .75 particle board. There was no sort of bracing... NONE. If you want to say my box was "braced" because it was screwed together, you are insane.

Your telling me I don't know how to set my gain because I don't go by what a DMM tells me, I go by what sounds balanced? What the hell is your malfunction?

I know what you did in that grand am, i saw the vid... im just saying that car is setup different than all other cars, So ur telling me that that 150.7 will work in every grand am? No i did not say i beat 150.7.. Sorry for the confusion, we did a 149.6 vs a 148.8, my bad for the 1 db statement... it was louder by .8 . And yes this was a local show on the new termlab sensor, im not gonna argue about it since this thread got way more response than i thought it would.. If theres people in minnesota that would like to see it done again, id be more than happy to show anyone, And like i said yes, it s only words and they mean nothing in this type of arguement, but tcab are nice enclosures, i only stated with a lil math and time its not hard to duplicate, and i ve only been in this for 2 years. The only experience i had coming into this is being a carpenter for 6 years... So i dont mind spending a lil time and money (and brain power) to have fun with this hobby

ummm

the grand am in the vid did a 150.7 @ 40 hz. You did a 149.6 @ 40 hz. How did you beat him by 1 dB again?

i wouldnt call most of em tcab haters, i would call them Spkrman haters. They get tired of reading/listening/seeing blowhards such as yourself.
The only interaction I have ever had with you is the dam 2500d thread. You tell everyone to set the amp up a specific way, and I say thats a load of BS.

If you draw your conclusions about me as a person through that one thread, fine. If you feel the need to go against me in everything I do because of that, fine.

Frankly, I don't particularly care... but bumping heads for the sake of bumping heads is a waste of both of our time.

oh man...

you have ALOT to learn.

not mad at you, just feel sorry for you and all the people who do business with someone like you.

feel free to say whatever you wish, you will be ignored from now on.

on to other things:

HCCAfan you ever talk to dave jakes? what is ed firestone doing now?

You started it, now finish it.

Where did the 148.8 come from? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

First it was a dbdrag show, now its just a local show... first it was 1db louder than the grand am, now its .8 louder than some random number not remotely related to the grand am.

You can't pop on here making claims like that and not back anything up... at this point you are just losing more and more credibility with every post.
