Taxs?

Another scam is rapid refund. I hope no one does that. They charge an irrational amount of interest. Anyone can do their own taxes, come Feb/Mar/Apr if any of you need/want help, I can show you the forms you need so that you won't get robbed by H&R block or some other tax-preparation scammers. I can't answer every tax question, but I assume most people don't itemize (and neither do I, for that matter). MOst are young enough where 10 minutes on the 1040-EZ, you can even do it online and get the real refund in a few weeks.
i used a rapid place last year, and will again this. 30 bucks and my girl got 4500 the next day. I agree H&R block and such places are BS but you should be able to find someone who will hook you up for cheap.

it's was like 20 minutes so figure guy could make nearly 100bucks an hour if he did it right.

it depends a lot more then just that. if you have paid $1700 that means you have made a lot more then $5000 and when you make over $5000 they start withholding federal and you don't get all the back, plus it depends on how many dependants you claimed. if you claimed yourself you won't be getting as much back vs. if you claimed no one.
That's not entirely true, TeeBone. I know plenty of people with kids that have gotten more on their federal return than they paid in. Earned Income Credit ftw for the parents out there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

If you can wait two weeks for your refund then just use TurboTax...I've used it three years in a row now and have had Zero problems from them. No hassles with getting a check cashed either as they offer Direct Deposit of your refund if you have a checking or savings account. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my comment was directed towards the OP who doesn't have kids

To late. Abortion already happened.

Problem is my g/f looked up online and i guess at 6 weeks the heart starts to beat or something... and now I wish I could take it back....

we only thought she was 3 weeks! cause she had her period like.... eh... 3 weeks ago

I mean a heart beat... it was alive... before the heart beat I wouldnt care... but it was beating... (we didnt hear it) but i mean thats what the stuff online says... maybe we were lucky and it wasnt yet... and the nurse "guessed" on how far along she was.

back to taxes.........I always claim 0 and add an extra $20 per paycheck taken out.....helps get a refund at the end of the year but since i didn't file in 2000, 2001 or 2003 it's gonna get swiped by the irs to pay for my penalties.......

FAIR TAX FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!

well jntar have a kid, that'll help your odds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i'll be claming mine this year. i got 1300 back last year with out my kid. should be another 1300+1000 for the kid

Wont help me. I have stuff that is going to always make me have to pay in. No matter how my stuff is set up. The way it is now is just cheaper then the alternative.

They will only penalize you if you owe taxes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

If you are due a refund they do not care if you EVER file, quite frankly. (They are in no hurry to give money back but they LOVE to give you static when you owe)

I know plenty of people that have filed multiple years together because they never got off their backside during the actual year(s) they are filing for while incurring no penalties. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
