I'm trying to sell theses again, as last time I just didn't keep the thread up to date. I have 24 of these TB 2" drivers. 20 of them are brand new, and I mounted 4 of them in a mini-array to do some sound testing (shown in pics).
The 4 that I tested can get VERY loud...surprising loud. And they still sound very clear and accurate (this is running them full range also, no filters). I was able to run a solid 75 watts to the 4 speakers with no problems at all. I imagine that with a simple hpf at around 150-250hz, you could run a 2-way design with just these and a couple of woofers, and be able to throw more power at the TangBand's.
The top end of these speakers are not piercing to my ears, but some of you who like the laid-back kind of speaker might have to throw a node filter because of the 15khz breakup, or EQ where you see fit. Overall they are a very nice speaker that sounds good over a VERY wide bandwidth.
