As others have stated, a good DSLR is needed, proper lighting, lens, filters, etc........It takes time and effort to learn how to properly take a good picture.
You don't need a DSLR to take a **** photo. First off you have to know what you are doing first. Take some photography classes and learn the basics of using a camera. If you actually want to get good, start off with an older manual film camera (Cannon AE-1's are really good, and pretty cheap). Learn the basics and go from there, and good glass is one of the best investments you can make in a camera too (besides knowledge).

Well, your picture is out of focus, you're taking the picture too close. If you have a macro mode, that would have worked better. Lay the phone open on its side on a sheet of white paper, then have a piece sitting behind it as well. Get a hobby light to use for lighting, then go from there. If you aren't using macro, then move a little further away and zoom in. That photo was likely taken, then they used the magic select or lasso tool and removed the background and made it white.

where would i get a hobby light from?

Hobby Lobby or similar places have them for sure, Walmart may have them in the crafts department. Its just a small folding florescent light that should be around $30 or less. In reality, any good light source will work, you can go to home furnishings and get one of those 3 bendable neck lamps or two single ones and play around with the lighting angles to get a setup that you like for around $20.

Good lighting. The first pic you posted was taken with 1/13 second exposure time which caused the blurriness.

These were taken with a camera that's worth $50 now. And an external flash.
