The free-market society in America as we know it is and will be long gone homieThat was my first thought, but it brings up the concern of redistributing wealth. I agree a fine is suppose to be a deterrent, and yet its less of a deterrent for wealthier people. But being wealthy also doesnt mean you should be fined more for the same offense as a poor person. Removing incentives for individuals to get ahead in life financially goes against the very nature of our free market society.
lawlfawk that. i like my fines just the way they are. my 141 in a 55 would probably be like 20k more then the car is worth
Fairs in August:fyi:If they really did implement this type of system in the US it would be horrible. Say two cars are going down the road, one is a Mercedes going 56 mph in a 55 while the other is a Kia going 90 mph. You know the cops would pull over the Mercedes just because they would get more money from the fine. Now how would that be fair?
fixedI spend stupid amounts of money on audio equipment, your argument is invalid. So no I think it sucks to be you![]()

Yeah all they can do is fine you for speeding. I mean, its not they can take your license away or anything, right?Well all they can do is really fine the guy, considering it is not a heinous crime. If they keep fining him a few hundred dollars, chances are he will not give a fuck, pay it and keep doing what he is doing. If you read the story at all you would have seen he has done this multiple times, so what do you do to a habitual offender. It's all good though, because if they gave him 15 years in prison for this same act, you would be bitching that too was excessive.....
I suppose they could, but there are thousands driving daily while having their licenses revoked so yeah....... Not really working:fyi:Yeah all they can do is fine you for speeding. I mean, its not they can take your license away or anything, right?
And if you are caught driving with revoked, you can go to jail. You cant say the system is flawed because people get away with driving illegally without getting caught. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif The real problem is, illegal aliens require no license. Had a friend get in an accident last year in Cali. Illegal with no license ran a stop sign and t-boned him. Cop let the illegal drive away. Not only did he not get in trouble, it was my friend's insurance company who had to pay for the accident. Now that is a major flaw in our system.I suppose they could, but there are thousands driving daily while having their licenses revoked so yeah....... Not really working:fyi:
I see what you did there.Thousands huh.....
Like in the whole US?? The whole thing?
Possibly more, I felt safe giving that number. I read the local paper everyday and seems there are 3 to 6 people in it daily, driving while revoked. So I figure would not take long to add up to "thousands".Thousands huh.....
