Swapping 12"s for 15"s?

Does this sound like an idea thats worth the trouble? I currently have a nice custom enclosure for my 2 12" Type Rs. Would there be 2 15" subwoofers that would feel at home in a 4.5 cubed box tuned to 35Hz, that would be louder than the 2 12" type Rs? I can just cut the additional out of the box to fit the 15". As you can see, i can definitley fit it.

And yes... its carpeted now. lol.

thats a pretty tight squeeze imo... you could use 2 type r 15's in around 7 cuft and tune around 30-35 hz... What kinda power u got for these drivers

looks like a back of a blazer/jimmy/bravada? u can inlarge the box face the subs up and fire the ports to the tail gate tune about 30-35 but will peak around 39-43 still get loud and will get low I have 4 12" in a 6.1cft 112sq port tuned to 35 and sounds sweet for daily pushed by 2 orion's 2500 if I put my old 15 my kids can't take it to loud so I stood with 12's
