what would you guys rather have, dont start any shit.

a supercharged or twin turbod fox body mustang that can run 9s and still be street legal or a 93+ BPU supra that runs 11's but with a hella nice audio/video install. body kitted out and really nice...NOT 2F2F shit.

Yet to see a body kit on a supra that looks worth a shit.

The base platform on the supra looks fine, adding body kits = gayness.

Running 9's doesn't make it a reliable "owner" mustang, if you intend on using it frequently, I'd stick with the supra I'd think, as it's not quite as overbuilt. (although likely uglier than the mustang... body kit strikes again...)

I'd take the Stang of coarse. I kind of did this 3 weeks ago tho I'm not in the 11s yet, i'm only about a second off(12s). 5.0s are easier to work on and i'm not into the supra thing but I know for mustangs everyone makes stuff for them from performance to exterior to interior there is a ton of stuff you can do

I don't know who can make a STREETABLE 9 second 5.0 in CA, so that really doesn't exsist.

I know of 10s GN's that are daily driven, but no 9's.

As much as I know the 5.0 has potential, Im not going into the ford arena..never liked the people who I have encountered, except for few, and they were far between.

Id say supra. Rarity gets the cake. Its classier to have the supra, more rare, as opposed to a common high school kid's 5.0.

btw-how much is a TT kit for the 5.0? Not a crappy one, a TOTL one.

actually there are several foxbody stangs running 9 second ET's. and there are several who are down in the low 7's to high 6's, all in the street legal class. granted they might not actually be driven daily, but you could legally drive it from your driveway to the drag strip and pop out a 7 second pass. also though, they might not be sporting the original 5.0 motor. i read an article in a street rod mag and they had the 15 fastest street legal cars in it, several 80's model mustangs, and the slowest one was a 7.8 second 1/4 mile.

there are loads and loads of 9 second street legal stangs, theres one about 10 miles down the road from me...i think i still have a vid of it im me if you want me to send it... halfacracker2

ive even seen street legal stangs running 8s.

not sure about a TT but JDperformance has singles for 5.0s complete kits for 4100 thats with an air to air cooler the. Theres a 03 cobra i seen running 8s driven to work everyday(300 miles a week) 9s off juice, 8s on the juice valve covers have never even been removed, but i know that a 4.6 not a 5.0 but still a mustang

Well in CA, my street legal, and your street legal, is VERY VERY different.

I dont doubt the 5.0's being fast. Just a 9 second CA street car...as in I can drive it on the street and not get a smog ticket....its not going to happen. Period.

SUPRA...for the following reasons:

1) It's waaaaaaaay sexier

2) It's not a ford

3) It's more rare, and much classier

4) I'm an import person all the way

5) supras have potential like you wouldn't believe

6) supras incite fear into the hearts of little punk-honda-racing-street racers everywhere because even in stock form they can decimate most stuff

7) They are toyota and thus bulletproof reliable

8) They are sill waaay sexier

10) They are my dream car and thus this thread could've been "Supra vs. Anything" and i would've still said supra

Obviously I'm going to say Supra. They look so good, you don't see a lot of them, they hold 1G on the skidpad and will be way more reliable at high power levels, there's plenty of 700HP+ daily driver Supras out there. People have run over 1000hp with a bone stock bottom end, and only upgraded cams and valve springs.

And every other car I see is a Mustang.
