I am looking to add a set of scan speak 7" revelators in kicks for dedicated mid-bass. This will not be for a month or two since I am trying to do my research. Now my question is what is my best option as far as crossovers for these drivers? I know I could have madisound build me a set(is this my best option)? What is the general cost of having custom crossovers built? Are there better options? Please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

running them actively would avoid alot of hassle. they could be tuned to suit both the car and whatever speakers you will be running with them.

Analogkid,

Thank you. I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine, and that is exactly what he said. THanks again.

Squeak where you at? I am sure you can give me some answers here.

Heh...sorry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

As analog said; I'd run them actively. And be sure to get your kickpanel volume correct for those //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Don't want to drop them into too small of an enclosure.

Squeak,

Thanks alot. I will make sure to give them the proper enclosure when the time comes. These are all preliminary questions to make sure I get it right the first time. I am getting really excited about my Jeep. My buddy is the manager for a home and car audio shop in my area. He has been helping me quite a bit he is very knowlegable. I already get everything they carry(mainly JL, Focal,Alpine, MB Quart, Eclipse etc...) at a little over cost with a friends and family discount, however he is going to ask the owner to use my vehicle as a demo for there shop which means everything at cost and some freebies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Thanks again.

Active cross is the best bet. this driver can be played very low and not even distort the highs.. but u will hav patient to let it run-in first

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
