I wanted to get some opinions on something I have been hearing alot lately. The sentence "I NEED TO SELL THIS AMP/SYSTEM ETC..BECAUSE IT IS TOO POWERFULL FOR ME"??? Is there such a thing as too much power. It seems alot of folks are selling thier HIGH POWERED stuff for lower wattage components and complaining More is not better. Wether it is an Amplifier or speakers. Do any of you believe that you can overkill a system or atleast reduce the quality by trying too hard?? I do not mean in "Overpowering" your system...I mean that you feel the desire to IMPROVE your system by decreasing it's output rather than increasing power?? I guess I can see it but I always thought if you had the speakers to handle it then go for more..but some "Experts" seem to be downsizing for quality rather than increasing. Henry Sudit of Anahiem hills Stereo an award winner and IASCA judge once advised me to use 2 10's instead of 2 12's in my ext cab truck for example. He insists that it will be better overall for my system and it's imaging...He would know!
