If I make a box on subwoofertools.com, does it matter if i put the subs facing up? or is it designing the box based on the assumption that they will face the same way as the port?

Will it have any effect on the measurements of the box? No. The only effect the subwoofer has on the box design is adding a bit of displacement, no matter where you mount it it doesn't change.

It will have an effect on the way it sounds though.

ya im thinking of mounting them facing the same way as the port..but in a couple months im going to have to build one with 4 18"s facing up and i want the port to face back so i was curious if i could use subwoofertools
