I dont have manual I got this amp from a friend I traded a 1000 watt kenwood amp for this 500w alpine so I dont know to much about the amp, except it has worked great for over a year now. It lasted the whole life of my type r and about a month with 2 P1's on 2 separate occasions. Like I said 2 weeks it worked with this kenwood sub before I encountered this problem. Ive had the car wired the same way for the whole year before I ran into this problem and started messing with all the connections. I wired it all myself. I ran out of ideas of what to do and I need help. I will try any recommendations you may have and let you know how it went. Thanks in advance.
Ok. My sub is cutting out. I don't think it is my amplifier unless it doesnt have a protection mode light indication. I have a 500 W alpine amp Some 400 watt rms kenwood sub got for free replacing my Alpine Type R that went up in smoke (it worked for about two weeks before this I encountered this problem.) "Pyle" of **** head **** 1F rockford fosgate cap My sub doesnt make a sound on low volume. But If you put your hand on it you can feel that it is attempting to hit. If I turn the volume up the sub cuts out and the amp still has the blue power indication light on. So I assume it wasnt the amp. Only way I can get the sub to get power again is to turn the car off then back on. I rewired EVERYTHING. No luck.
