subsonic filter ?

I just got a kicker CompVR12 dual 2ohm. I am going to be pushing 325 wats rms 4ohm stable into it(kicker 650.4). It is going to be in a ported box. Kicker said this- The power handling specifications listed with the vented enclosure recommendations apply only when a 25Hz, 24dB/octave subsonic filter (sold separately) is used with this woofer. If a subsonic filter is not used, power handling may decrease, excessive port noise can occur, and the life of the woofer may be shortened.

My question is what is a subsonic filter and where do I get one. I have searched the web, E-Bay and this site and can't find one.

for a low tuned box, u generally dont need a ssf with normal music.

my box is tuned to 30hz, i've played music with 18hz notes for short periods of time and it's just fine w/o a ssf. i have a 20hz fmod ssf if u wanna be safe, but i doubt u need it.

Well I don't have much common sense but I think I kknow what you are saying. I think I will be safe because I listen to mainly metal and alternative and I don't listen to it cranked up full blast all the time, I just like it to sound good with decent bass. Thanks for the replies.
