I am looking into putting a sub into my car and when it comes to car audio I don't have any knowledge about what I should do. I'd like to spend less than $250 on the sub(s). I've searched around and this Lanzar OPTI1232D 12" Subwoofer Dual 2 Ohm VC | 293-481 looks pretty nice. Does anyone have any feedback on these? Any other recommendations? I'm not set on a size either. My friend bought one of these JL Audio CP212-W0v3 BassWedge™ slot-ported enclosure with two 12" W0v3 subwoofers at Crutchfield.com and using that as a basis of comparison, I'd like something louder. I have about 2 cubic feet of space available to build an enclosure. Which I don't know if I should be building a ported or a sealed box. I listen to mostly rock with some rap as well. How much of a difference does the box type make? Does a ported box make it significantly louder? Does a sealed box make it significantly tighter? Thanks in advance.
