I don't know which MTX subs you're talking about so it's hard to say whether or not it's worth reconing. Thing is, you'll have to replace all the soft parts (surround, cone, dust cap, spiders &amp; coil) in order to replace the coil so if it's not a high end sub... it's a paper weight.</blockquote>
