Never thought I'd be giving Asia, let alone Korea so much consideration. Makes me glad I posted this thread. Not sure if the program as Seoul on the list but it sounds nice. Got London England, Seoul Korea and "______" New Zealand all in consideration now. I'm curious if anyone else will bring equal argument about any other location. Did a pretty good job hyping up Seoul man lol.

 

 

Before i went i wouldn't have guessed how developed and awesome Seoul is. The wealth and technology is unbelievable. You also cant understand that level of population density until you've experienced first hand. It's just incredible.

 

The subway is awesome and gets you ANYWHERE unlike in Tokyo or Beijing where they're a pain in the *** and not nearly as complete. Taxis are also crazy cheap. A lot of times with 4 people it's cheaper to hail one of the endless cabs found on every street corner, than it is to take the metro.

 

Seoul really is an easy to get around and live in City for people who dont speak Korean. Plus the nightlife really is top notch and I ended up getting really great service in all the elitist lux venues. Free drinks, VIP and the ability to just get waived in and skip the line were the norm over there because i was a tall white guy hanging out with rich kids and the fashion/art people. if you really want to run with the jet set but are just a regular guy like me, it's a lot easier to get into that scene in Seoul than it is in like NYC or Hollywood.

 

I almost moved back to Seoul, but decided i needed to go to grad school first. I looked at grad schools over there too, but they just arent as prestigious as a US grad school when applying for jobs internationally.

 

3 best uni in Korea:

 

Seoul National University

 

Korea University (where i went)

 

Yonsei University

 

Ranked in that order and known as the SKY schools.
