It would be fairly reasonable for a 2 ohm coil to have a 1.4 ohm DCR, thus netting a 2.8 ohm DCR series load. It varies woofer to woofer... the SI Mag, for instance, has a 1.75 ohm DCR which would net 3.5 ohms in series DCR; the Rockford T1152D2 has a 1.55 ohm DCR netting a 3.1 ohm DCR in series. The FI Audio BTL D2 has a 1.5 ohm DCR netting 3.0 ohms DCR in series. We ran a pair of Sundown SAZ-1500Ds strapped to each coil of a dual 2 ohm model no problem at the woofer show-down. This was a 0.75 ohm DCR on each amp so it was no sweat... they produced a measured 2.5kw each acording to some clamp meters with, IIRC, less than 14 volts supply (Chad and Loyd can probably tell you exactly). The lowest DCR I have tested the SAZ-1500D at extensively is 0.4375 ohms from a pair of SI Mag D2 12s. Below that and you are going lower than my testing has gone. I suspect that they will run fine in competition with a 0.35 ohm DCR, perhaps even daily, but it has not been tested thoroughly so I can't guarantee it for you for sure. The 0.5 ohm warranty coverage covers a 0.5 ohm manufacturer rated nominal impedance. This is a warranty against a damaged amplifier and not going into protection.
