Strange request

Hey guys, I am an ex army vet, ringing in my ears so I dont care about quality of music, so long as it's loud! lol.

My number one request in a car stereo is that it is easy to use.

I love the stock head unit that came in my GSX, but it broke (cannot adjust volume)

My number one request is that the volume knob has to be the on/off button.

Every car I have ever been in 92 ford escort to a 2009 jag xkr had a stereo where the volume on/off button.

On the flip side, every aftermarket deck has done something DIFFERENT then the stock function. It's a little pricey, but the Pioneer 800/880 does that. If you just press and release the volume knob the HU switches sources. If you press and hold the volume knob the HU shuts off. All the other HUs I've owned had a different button for the power and the volume knob usually went to a fade/balance or sub control.

Wow, you caught me in a gramatical error .

I joined up in 02, got out in 08, went to iraq and all that good stuff, got messed up, collecting disability, good times.

Im still a vet, lol.

Thanks for the input, I wish there were some high-end audio shops close to where I live, ill check google...maybe I can check these decks out in person, Best Buy has a terrible selection...
