Strange deck connection

I just bought my new deck hoping to install it with ease, but I was removing the old one which isn't stock (I didn't put it in, previous owner did) and there's this black cord that can't be removed from the back of the head unit, leading back down with all the other connections where I can't access it. What is this? How can I unplug this??
