Strange 05 CTS warning light

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS. It has the little screen/ control panel. When something ahppens to the car, like traction control, ect, a message pops up. A new message read Service Air Bags and the dash air bag light comes on. How in the world do you service an air bag and why would you?

I got a warning light for airbags in my van... turned out i had a faulty seat belt tensioner. could be anything.

It is right over the transmission, just pull out the ****** and you will see it. Let me see if I can draw something up for you.

it is vehicle dependent, you should google it to be sure.

Just be careful when unplugging the flux capacitor, that thing carries 1.21 gigawatts of electricity at any given time

at least it did on my old delorean, it may be more/less on your caddy

Honestly I don't know, you can't service an airbag but maybe something went wrong with the collision sensor or something. I'd get it checked out if I were you (by real mechanics, not these guys on CA.com //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif).

Last thing you want is to be in an accident (knock on wood) and your airbags don't deploy, either driver or passenger.

CTS's are known to have electrical problems. My dad has an '06 and his does weird shit all the time. Don't worry about it.

It is also widely know that the Flux Capacitor is the main cause of the electrical errors. Fix it and the errors go away.
