Buddy Christ!
Hey all, pulling the rear seat outta my truck and am going to store it. I am planning on wrapping it up in a tarp and putting it in storage (with some mouse poison so they don't get to it).

Anything specific I should do before I wrap it up, or any concerns being wrapped up tight and possible moisture? Don't want to ruin the seat its outta my new truck with only about 2k miles on it.

If anybody has experience or suggestions let me know. I don't want to find out the hard way that interior can mold/rot or anything in storage if not packaged right.

duece i just took mine and put it in my dads new garage in the attic.
Right on, I'm grabbin a storage unit because i already have too much stuff in the garage. Now I just have one more excuse to get one and store some shit and make me some room in the garage again.

You wrap it up or anything?

Tyvek®..

Tyvek® is a high-tech fabric produced by DuPont. This fabric is wonderful for storing textiles for numerous reasons. Tyvek® is breathable and provides protection from weather, light, moisture and pollinates. It is strong, lightweight and durable. It is able to block out 99.8% of the UV rays in light. Using Tyvek® to wrap or roll a quilt or fabric in will help protect the fibers

Might have to track some of that down, sounds like a little smarter idea than my 3.99 Harbor Freight tarp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

DO NOT MOTH BALL IT! You'll never get the smell out. My dad did that shit to his van seats and we could never get it out. Just put the seats somewhere with no chance of getting wet and they'll be fine. Mice are not going to chew up your seat for no reason.....

If its leather it has to breathe cuz the sweat can ruin the leather. get shrink wrap (shipping grade) wrap a cotton blanket around the seat and shrink wrap that good and plenty and your good. I used to be a mover for 5 years and thats how we stored furniture for long periods of time no probs.

... unless the wanna nest in it.
Not takin a chance, a few bucks worth of mouse poison is worth it just for the slight chance they wanna nest in it

Its a cloth seat, the shrink wrap is a good idea though.
